Since his debut self-titled album in 2015, over the past decade Michel has beautifully evolved his earnest, nostalgic sound, seamlessly composed of dreamy synths, stable, new-wave inspired rhythms and basslines, and sentimental, yet wonderfully honest lyrical narratives that collectively appear as if they are always in full bloom. Simultaneously hopeful and ruminative, Hibou’s fourth album It Seems To Me traverses different and often difficult emotional terrain while still remaining true to Michel’s signature sound.
